    MICHAEL KALMBACH, VETERAN OF THE CIVIL WAR, DIES
    Michael Frederick Kalmbach, member of the Joshua B. Culver post, Department of Minnesota, Grand Army of the Republic, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. M. Seely, 126 North Eighth avenue East.
    Mr. Kalmbach was born in Wurtemberg, Germany, in 1835 and came to the United States with his parents when 11 years old, settling in Pennsylvania. Shortly after the outbreak of the Civil war he enlisted in the Thirty-second regiment, Wisconsin volunteers, and was later commissioned a lieutenant.
    He came to Duluth in 1882 and has been resident of the city since 1888. His wife, Addie J. Kalmbach, died June 17, 1915. He is survived by a son, W. A. Kalmbach of the Oliver Mining company, and two daughters, Mrs. L. M. Seely and Mrs. C. W. Kieswetter, all of Duluth. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from his daughter's residence, 125 North Eighth avenue East.
